For me, this is the beginning of the end. School is coming to a close, and I am getting really sentimental. Watching Mr. Ferdock delete all of our yearbook folders, finishing my personal yearbook page, realizing that Emma (AND Jack AND Jordan AND Katie) and I only have one more summer together. Yesterday in voice lessons, my Skandar fangirls and I were joking around in British accents. I must have said something about Sara getting Skandar which made overprotective Emma VERY angry. Although she is about 1 ft. shorter than me, she tackled me to the ground. (?) I'm going to miss all of the yearbook quotes (Most of them have to do with Skandar, which is what happens when 3 of your best friends are obsessed.) I want it to be summer and all, but now I don't want to let the past go. High school sounds awesome and all, but it isn't SJS. You know?
And imagine how it felt for all of the Narnian characters when they returned from Narnia. You have something so great and then... it's gone. Poof! The Pevensies, Eustace, Jill, Digory, Polly, all of them had to go to the beginning of the end, sometimes more than once. I believe that C.S. Lewis said something about how he didn't think that the children would have much of a problem getting used to their old world and in some cases, age again. But for me, the end is the saddest part of the story.
See guys! Sure, I cry a lot, but there is a reason!
"A lady of Narnia mustn't drive her parents crazy with a really weird '80's song or else her sister might injure both her hand and her elbow."

High school will be AMAZING, though.

Hahahaaaa...putting quotes to good use as usual...
:)
Wait... quote from where exactly? Anna is confused. As usual! I MISS YOU!
ReplyDeleteOh, don't be confused! Lasarleen said it to Aravis. I'm surprised you didn't get that one, but I guess, well, I mean I just read HHB again in like 1 and 1/2 hrs the other day, so I have all sorts of quotes kind of re-installed in my Narnia obsessed brain. I love you anyway, dear!
ReplyDeleteOh! I haven't read that one in awhile. My entire family has been borrowing them, so I haven't had a chance. The Magician's Nephew is so beat up and tattered from so many people reading it!
ReplyDeleteThe Horse and His Boy is my personal favorite, though I'm not sure why. That Hamid guy still wants me to become a Muslim! Grrrrr! Drive me insane! He was impressed that I called him a "Special Human Being with a purpose", but he says that I don't deserve his respect unless I become Muslim! I will respect him, though, no matter what. All humans are deserving of respect, no matter what their religions are. Anyway, he says that if I become a Muslim, I may be "superior" to him because I seem to have confidence or something. He says that Jesus answers to Allah, and that the Most Blessed Trinity of the three Divine Persons is the most dirty belief one could have. Well guess what, Hamid: NOT SO!!!
ReplyDeleteOk...I'm done. I promised not to respond to him anymore. I wonder if he reads my blog often...hrmmmmmmmm....oh well.....
I love you...my dear sister :)
Love,
Elwen
I've made the personal descision just to ignore him. I only stress myself out, and there isn't much ground to debate on anyhow because I don't understand half of what he's saying. Its his loss, and I know for a FACT that Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life. Besides, your blog is 100% Narnian and you asked him to leave. After that, its harassment. We needn't worry ourselves, dear one, for we're filled with the Holy Spirit. ( ;
ReplyDeleteI just recite this quote that I wrote myself: "Feelings are fleeting, so invest in the things that won't leave you: true friends, true love, and God."
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks for the encouragement.
